Call to Action
from President Emeritus Clarence Henderson
As President Emeritus of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina I am asking you to join us in the fight to defend our freedom.

We are an organization that believes in freedom, liberty and justice for all. We are a voice for the voiceless, a protector of our children and defender of our Constitution. Please join me in continuing this modern day Freedom Movement.

Clarence Henderson , age 18 at the 1960 Greensboro, NC Woolworth's Counter sit-in.
“Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” -Frederick Douglass
